:: Questionner les opérations. Opérations d’arithmétique : quels problèmes théoriques ?


Opérations de l’arithmétique : Quels problèmes théoriques ? Les quatre opérations de l’arithmétique ont fait l’objet de réflexions théoriques depuis des millénaires. Ces réflexions n’ont pas été systématiquement explorées lorsqu’elles se présentaient dans des textes chinois, indiens ou mésopotamiens. Il est vrai que dans ces cas, la localisation de ces développements dans les sources et leur interprétation sont deux opérations délicates. Par ailleurs, ces réflexions n’ont pas été largement confrontées les unes aux autres. L’objectif de cette journée est d’aborder cette question en puisant dans des sources des plus variées.
